The first cycle
You start in a garage in 2007. One finished cycle is the whole first session: design a device, pick the parts, set the price, hand it to your team, launch with marketing, read the critics, and watch sales come in live.
The company saves automatically. Finish the launch before you leave. Public servers hold 8 players, and the experience plays on phone, tablet, and PC.
One October 10 walkthrough reported a starting balance of $200,000 after you name the company. That figure is a session report, not a number printed on the experience listing.
Do it in this order
- Stay in the garage. Headquarters, regions, and rival chasing are later goals.
- Place a desk and a chair if you are about to hire. Staff need a workstation, and the first month of wages is paid up front.
- Design one phone. The published controls are screen size, cameras, corners, buttons, colour, finish, and logo. Do not max every control before you have seen a review.
- Set a price above the unit cost the design screen shows, then hand the phone to your team. Put your own numbers into the launch margin estimate if you want the arithmetic. The sample defaults are not a price list.
- Clear bugs before you launch. A researcher and a bug fixer are the two roles session guides name. Hire the cheaper of each only after you can see a product to work on.
- Launch. A free launch tests the price. Online ads were reported at $40,000 for about +45% early demand in one walkthrough. Read the full campaign table in pricing.
- Spend the next cash on whatever the review exposed: one design change, a new price, or one hire.
A reported starter phone
One walkthrough's restrained first phone used a 6.1 inch 320p display, a small selfie camera, a basic rear camera, rounded corners, side buttons, Micro USB, 4 GB storage, 128 MB RAM, a single-core 400 MHz CPU, a 1000 mAh battery, and 2G. RoboOS, GPS, and Micro USB were the early research picks in that same session. Another live session built a phone for about $59 and priced it at $120, then heard the critic call it rushed. Use those as examples, then read your own review.
What finished looks like
You have one launched product, a review, and sales you can see. That is the base for hiring, the office, and research. Claim any finished goal on the goals panel. There are 28 cash goals, and their individual names are not published.
Free cash before you spend
Open Store and redeem CEO, WELCOME, and LAPTOPS if they still accept. Then check the DEVTEC STUDIOS group reward in the same Store area. One walkthrough showed $75,000 and 90 research points for joining the group, plus a daily gift whose amount was not published.
